When I ask high school students why they want to go to college, the most frequent response is, “to get a good paying job.” Well, RIT has proven itself to be an excellent choice for students looking not only for a great education and college experience, but also for the big payout at the end of their 4 or 5 year investment. Currently RIT graduates enjoy 90 – 100% job placement and a recent study conducted by PayScale College Salary Report found that the median starting salary for recent RIT graduates is $51,000. If that wasn’t enough, the survey found that the mid-career median salary (15 years of work and just a bachelor’s degree) is $82,000 for RIT alums. Both figures are the highest among Rochester-area institutions included in this survey.
