This post is my unsolicited advertisement for RIT Ultimate Frisbee! The Frisbee Team will be looking to recruit
rookies during Orientation week.There
will be pick-up games going on from 4-6 all week on the field behind Gracie’s
dining hall, so come on out and toss a disc and meet some Frisbee People.
I have fallen in with a new crowd lately, and they are some
pretty great people; they are Frisbee People. This summer I gave into peer pressure and signed up to play Ultimate
Frisbee in the Recrational League of GRADA (the Greater Rochester Area Disc
Association).I discovered that Rochester is a pretty happening place for Ultimate
Frisbee.I had never played Frisbee
before this summer. In fact, I had to be
taught how to throw a Frisbee. But, it
was a blast.I met awesome people and
had a lot of fun.
I had so much fun that I want to spread the word about Frisbee
at RIT.There are a lot of ways to be
involved with Frisbee at RIT.There are
intramural teams, which play games against other intramural RIT Frisbee teams. There is also the RIT Frisbee Team called the
Spudheads; they travel a lot to play against other schools’ Frisbee Teams.
Don’t forget: Orientation
week. 4-6pm. Field behind Gracie’s.See
you there.
