Hi! My name is Blenda and I am a 3rd year RIT student and a 2nd year in Interior Design. I'm thinking about minoring in Business Marketing and/or Sustainability if I have time!
I have lived in Rochester my whole life and was pretty hesitant in going to a school so close to home, but it turns out I love it. It's great now I have new friends, family close by, and I love those home cooked meals! Oh and did I mention I love Wegmans!
Hey guys! This quarter flew by... with exception of this week. Week 10 has been really stressful, but I'm getting by!

I heard that RIT had a career exploration program in each college that allowed undecided students, like me, take different classes to find out what career path is right. It was a great program for me because I was leaning towards many directions and after a few classes I transferred to the the School of Design!

I totally have the some of the issues above. But you nailed all the concerns that I have. I try so hard not to take crits personal but rather as a improvements to make my piece better.. but sometimes its still feels painful. Also during crits I'm really quiet and never say anything, until someone else says the exact same thing I was thinking..and the teacher loves it. Than I end up thinking why didn't I say it first.
Haha I love your title! There were moments that I enjoyed in FYE,like knowing the people in my college, our one on one session...but there was this time my teacher told me I HAD to go to an anime meeting and write a paper about it. I mean it was interesting just anime is not for me!
Yeah! I totally agree with this blog. When I lived on campus it really was a "bubble". But let me say it was really nice to be able to go home for home cooked meals or when they drop by with some Chinese food when I'm hungry in the dorms.
Thanks Emily! Who do you have? It will be awesome.
Also,The class I took you can use film or digital, if you use film you get it developed yourself at school or from a store like Target. But there is another class called Still Photo which is also for Non Majors, you are mainly in the dark room developing pictures. Hope that answers your question
