Graphic Design with a Minor in Print Media

Back on April 19th, 1989 an adventurous young girl was born. At a very young age I was like most young aspiring “designers” playing in Kid Pix (I kind of miss that program, I am sorry for those of you who have never had experience in it!) I then graduated to Printshop a greeting card program. Slowly I progresses to bigger and better programs. Once I reached high school I was given a decision, what “extracurricular” did I want to partake in. Well my brother was taking culinary class, so I wanted to take culinary; he was taking photography so I wanted to take photography. Well some brilliant person, named my mom (well that’s not exactly her name, I just call her that!) she told me I should take my own path for life, and I listened. I chose Visual Communications aka Graphic Design. Second best decision next to deciding to go to RIT! I took 3 years of Visual Communication classes and 3 years later I ended up with my best decision ever, going to RIT.
I don’t think I could have found a better home, away from home!
My floor (last year) is another one of the best thing that has happened to me, we were/ and still are inseparable. Seven people from the floor are at park point in two different apartments, and six people (four of which comprise my apartment! Some of the best girlies ever!) are off campus at the same apartment complex in 2 different apartments, and the rest are spread out together. I met so many amazing friends and acquaintances.
As you probably already read/figured out I am 2nd year Graphic Design major, with a Minor in Print Media, I am a member of AIGA as well!
If you have any questions about either of these, or anything having to do with RIT jot me an email, leave me a comment or just follow my blogs!

When I have time: LOST!, Ace of cakes, SurvivorMan, Man vs Wild, Dirty Jobs, Project Runway, the office, dancing with the stars, it's always sunny in philadephia, arrested development (when it was on) (this list seems like i watch TV 24/7 in fact I haven'
There are way to many to only list one! I am a fan of the "older bands" like The Who, CSNY (together and seperate) Pink Floyd, Beatles (I really like the Across the Universe Soundtrack (I know that's not the Beatles exactly), The Band... the list goes on!
I enjoy Java's for getting work done when on campus but i can't "study" for tests there...

That Time as a Senior in High School I agree with you 100%, in many aspects! Without my mom's help (with her bribery of nut's and bolt's which I wrote about in my blog "70 degree Christmas") I would not be here today. It's not a bad idea or a bad thing to seek out help from people who can help! Along those lines, the counselors, admissions staff, faculty and whomever you can think about at RIT are here to help, whether you are a prospective student or an admitted student or whatever you may be! So my suggestion, wherever you are just ask questions, (you should do this anyways) and seek help, there's plenty of people on campus off campus wherever who would be more than willing to help!
The Joy of Sledgehammers I really want to get more involved in HFH. I was the main leader for my high schools community service group.
Spontaneity I gave 13 inches for locks of love my senior year, and yes 13 inches and it barely made a difference! That is how long my hair was! Beginning of this year i was ready for another change i was sitting in the hair dresser with my roommate and decided i was ready i told them to take control and take whatever they wanted off.... as long as i can put it in a hair tie... they did just that best haircut/ change ever. I felt so free and rejuvenated!
The Joy of Sledgehammers yea, post Katrina I went to New Orleans and spent a week doing random assignments it was so rewarding, I think my favorite was de-molding a house literally taking a wire brush the size of a toothbrush and literally scraping away the mold on every piece of boarding... HARD HARD work but so rewarding!
Adventure Time! I had never seen that before this Holiday break and when i watched it I watched it upteen millions times!
Baby It's Cold Outside Yes I am major fan of this commenting action! (You readers who aren't bloggers should comment too!) We want to hear what you are thinking! Where you want our blogs to go and everything!
Olympic Swimmer? I think not... I use to swim competitively in highschool and then got injured so i stopped, but just this past year (the last 2 weeks) I have taken up swimming again! When my boyfriend works out upstairs in the gym I am downstairs swimming, laps and it is so nice considering I have a strained rhomboid muscle... not fun! But it is so nice to be able to jump in the pool do a workout and then get in the hot tub what i life!
I'm ALWAYS Hungry i was taken aback by the cheapness of the tacos and burritos at the Ritz and personally i think they are SOO goood! completely worth the $1.50 or whatever they are!
Illustration...@ RIT??? i really like your last piece is that done out of paper?
28+30+32 = BCG 90 I was in BCG 90!!!
Alternative Valentine's Day Plans I am questionably going... I am either going to that or the V Monologues. Wish I had more time (and money) to do both.
acceptance packets! Hello AB, Congratulations to you and your son! I personally would suggest the 10 meal plan. It was the meal plan I was on. Basically you get a total of 10 "meals" for the week, 5 of which must be used at Gracies, our main dining facility (on the residential side). Then you have an additional 5 "meal options" which are worth $6.35 a meal. So you can use those at Gracies, or you can use them wherever accepts meal options on campus (basically all the dining facilities) then you also have an additional $368 in "debit" which can be used to buy additional items whether it be food or something else. (Like the corner store or sols in the dorms.) I preferred this plan because it gave me the most flexibility, if i wasn't able to make it to Gracies I could just use debit or a meal option and then the debit doesn't have to be spent just on food so you can buy like school supplies or whatnot (as long as they take debit). If you find this doesn't work you can either use tiger bucks, or change meal plans. Check this out to get a better idea; http://finweb.rit.edu/diningservices/mealplans/0809/resident.html http://finweb.rit.edu/diningservices/mealplans/0809/mealoptions.html hope that helped!
acceptance packets! So I have spent awhile thinking about this question, and I honestly can't think of anything! I think one thing is that I brought EVERYTHING that I could humanly think of...so I guess don't do that because the dorms are not really that big! Debit at least for me my first quarter I had 200 dollars left with a week left... so you have a lot and yes you can't spend it all at once (or you should not) you also do not need to savior it, because it DOES NOT roll over quarter to quarter... If I think of anything I will definitely post it!
acceptance packets! Hey guys, as to the scholarship and grant questions I honestly do not know enough information to give you a good answer, I will leave this one up to one of the counselors! If you have any broad questions about campus life or what not I would love to answer those! Best of Luck!
acceptance packets! Daniel, I am not sure if someone has gotten back to you, if not I will check up on it. I do not know the specifics I know that this is more of a financial aid question. So I will point someone in your direction. Good Luck!
Refreshment I could see this making sense, I people are more alive and wanting to spend more time outside! Like me right now!
